When You Are Old 当你年老时

When You Are Old

Yates

When you are old and gray and full of sleep
And nodding by the fire,take down this book,
And slowly read,and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once,and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true;
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur,a little sadly,how love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead,
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.

回想它们昔日浓重的阴影;
爱你衰老了的脸上痛苦的皱纹;

    Nice poem. You still read a lot, different types of books I guess. Good habit to keep.I\’m too busy to read, but still love musics, many lyrics are poems themselves, amazingly beautiful sometimes. Resonance with your soul, and speaks your mind out and loud. Can\’t write too well so I sing, can\’t speak too well so I paint.
    I thought I\’m too old to change once in the past. I was wrong. Every time I place my foot on a new continent, I change, rapidly and dramatically. And I wonder how different I will be when I\’m old, will I find my piece of land to rest at last? Good question to ask ;p
